MULTISPORT ASTROTURF

On Monday 6 March, we began turning a long-term dream into reality, when we had our new Astroturf’s Ground-breaking Ceremony.

We are able to build the astro by using reserves built up over many years by the good stewarding of financial resources and we will also be raising funds. A parent, Mr Jonathan Miller, is heading up the Fundraising Committee.

As a community, here are the ways in which you can support us in helping us build and maintain our Astro.

1) There will be advertising opportunities on the fencing boards, which will be available to rent. This is a great opportunity, especially for local small and medium Pinelands businesses to get high visibility within the local and greater community. The billboards will be rented out for a 2-year period with the option to renew.

2) You can support our learners who will be “selling” square metres of the astro, through the sponsoring of squares at R100 each. By sponsoring a square metre of astro you have helped our school raise current and future generations of sport loving, team building, leadership developed kids. Oh, and while you were at it you stand a chance to win a fantastic spot prize. There are meals, coffees, weekends away, Sunset cruises and thousands of Rands of value of prizes to be won! Payments can be made by SnapScan or cash.

The sponsoring of square metres closes on the 11th of May 2023 and winners of Spot prizes will be randomly chosen and then notified on the 15th of May.

3) And finally, you are also more than welcome to make a donation directly to the school for the PHPS Astro project. A section 18A tax certificate can be requested from the School Business Manager and donors will be recognised on a sponsorship board.
